THE actress who plays Hermione Granger in Harry Potter films was approached by man while at school.
Police have warned a man to stay away from Harry Potter star Emma Watson after he approached the teenager at her school.
The 16-year-old, who plays a teenage witch-in-training was confronted by the man, aged in his 20s, when he turned up at her school and tried to talk to her after creeping into one of her classes.
Emma, who plays the precocious Hermione Granger in the five Harry Potter films has hired a private bodyguard following the stalking incident and was said to be terrified by the man's efforts to track her down. "He left Emma alarmed when he approached her and started talking to her about the Potter films,'' a source told The Sun.
"The school was informed and so were Emma's parents. The decision was made to call in the police as the man was not known to her."
Police spoke to the man and warned him off the school grounds.
The young actress has attempted to continue to lead a normal life following the huge success of the Potter films by continuing to attend her local school.
Watson, makes her fifth appearance alongside Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which has just finished filming.
